Will you have a women’s masters division?

The Glass Blown Open is not offering that division in 2017. In an effort to grow the field sizes in the historically small women’s divisions, we have made the decision to offer fewer fields so that these fields can be large enough to create an “A-Tier/NT feel”. We would encourage you to sign up in one of the divisions that we do offer. As the women’s fields continue to grow, we will consider adding additional women’s divisions in the future.

How big of a Pro Grand Masters field do you usually get?

    • admin

      October 13, 2016 at 10:08 am

In looking at the PDGA event pages in 2015 we had 19 and in 2016 we had 28. This should give you a good indication of the field size. Keep in mind that it also depends on how many sign up. If we the interest in that division is low compared to other divisions then the field size can fluctuate.

So what date would grandmasters be in?

    • admin

      October 13, 2016 at 10:08 am

Grandmasters is a pro level division so you would follow the Open schedule.

Now you’re just being silly. It’s always a surprise, when you check in. In 2016 we got a stars and stripes commander bag, a jacket, two shirts, and other goodies. Don’t bother asking, just know it will be great.

One of the perks for the 2016 GBO spectator pack was an early invite to GBO 2017.

That information is being negotiated, organized, and finalized at this time. As the information is completed we will get this site and the GBO facebook page updated. We appreciate your patience.

Hotels fill up fast, when will the Waitlist people know if there are able to play in the GBO 2017?

    • admin

The registration page at discgolfscene.com will have the most up-to-date waitlist information. If your spot comes up, you will receive an email letting you know that you are now registered for the event (from discgolfscene.com).

Will there be an amateur woman’s division?

  15. Wally Mattus

I am number 18 on the waiting list and I am curious how far into the waiting list you got last year? Do I stand a chance of getting in?

    • admin

      November 3, 2016 at 6:14 pm

History has shown that close to 20% of the folks that register will cancel their registration prior to the event. While this has not been the case for every division and every year, this is a good “frame of reference”. History has also shown that about half of the folks on the waitlist actually accept the spot when it comes available.

I was wondering during the round are we supposed to wear polos or are dri fit shirts acceptable?
